Growing up, I always had a great appreciation for the anything creative. So much so that I jumped at every opportunity that allowed me to express my creativity. I begin my creative journey with cosmetology, I was fascinated with all things hair, then I took up sewing, and acting, and jewelry making, and everything else. While all these things were great, I still felt like I was looking for my final passion that I felt like I could spend my life doing. It wasn’t until my junior year when I joined the newspaper club, that I found graphic design.
I quickly learned InDesign, and begin formatting and designing spreads. Finally when my senior year came, and it was time to begin applying for colleges, I knew I had only one option. With my one year of dual enrollment courses and the skills I learned from my 2 years of being a spread designer in Newspaper, I prayed and sent in my SCAD enrollment application and 3 years later here I am, a graduate of SCAD, ready to see where my creative journey takes me.
